Industrial fire fighting and rescue can be demanding and challenging for everyone involved, with each person being relied upon to perform their duties in a professional and consistent manager and with the ability to work in a team and independently.
Capital Crisis Solutions Fire Academy has been created to use a competency-based theory and skills maintenance framework that targets the core technical
and behavioural skill-sets for remote location work.
The subject areas; theory and skills, are aligned with units of competence from the Certificate II and III Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations) and Certificate III in Mines and Emergency Response and Rescue. Certain subjects may also be credited into other qualification streams.
The primary focus of this skills
maintenance program is to provide Fire & Rescue staff with the
opportunity to maintain the requisite core technical and
behavioural skill-sets for remote location work.
A secondary benefit is, participation and assessment (undertaken by suitably qualified and approved assessors) may allow participants to progress from a Certificate II credential to a Certificate III credential.
